Presentations consist of a series of examples of unsustainable factors that play into the struggles in New Orleans, including food inaccessibility, environmental racism and degradation, illiteracy and crime, and a brief background of the city of New Orleans which includes demographics and geography, theories about the Levee breach, the response of NGOs as well as the local and federal government to the Hurricane. We also provide ways you can get involved with our organization, and discuss the work our partner in the Lower Ninth Ward (Our School at Blair Grocery) is doing. A full-length presentation with opportunities to ask questions in the end is an hour long however if needed, it can be done at a minimum time of 15 minutes.
The presentations are completely free, no matter if you are affiliated with a school, church or any other form of community group.
If you are a student, we encourage you to contact your school and arrange the time and date of the presentation and stay in touch with us.
