Presentations

NY2NO has done presentations at 20 high schools all across New York City. These presentations help spread awarness about the current reality of New Orleans and also inspire young people to get involved in the work we do. In the past, presentations have encouraged students to apply for our New Orleans brigades however, we are currently working on having presentations centered around specific issues in New York and New Orleans (ie Education, Public Housing...ect), drawing further parrallels between the struggles in both cities.

NY2NO would love to present at your school!

Presentations consist of a brief background of the city of New Orleans including demographics and geography, theories about the Levee breach, the response of NGOs aswell as the local and federal government to the Hurricane. We also provide ways you can get involved with our organization. A full-length presentation with opportunities to ask questions in the end is an hour long however if needed, it can be done at a minimum time of 15 minutes.

The presentations are completely free, no matter if you are affiliated with a school, church or any other form of community group.
